AUTOCAB

We employ the latest technological systems available in the transport industry to bring an advanced and superior service for our clients.  One such system consists of a quality booking and software, known as Autocab. This enables us to locate the exact whereabouts of any of our vehicles with a mere click of a button.  It looks at the position of the vehicle via a GPS satellite link and automatically despatches the job to the nearest vehicle to the location requested by the customer.  This is important not only to the customer, whose waiting time is dramatically reduced, but it is also extremely beneficial for the environment as it helps us reduce our carbon emissions.

The driver has all the necessary apparatus to receive the information from the operation call centre and carry out the task.  The driver receives details of the customers request on the data head in the vehicle.  Telephone numbers of customers are only transferred to the driver with the permission of the customer, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

With the assistance of this system and the vast number of vehicles, combined with the promptness of the drivers the response time is made possible in most cases, to be within a mere 10 minutes.  Those involved in the job process try with their best endeavours to keep to the time quoted to the customer and the company is renowned for its promptness.  We have received extremely praiseworthy feedback and on many occasions customers have commented that a car has turned up while they were still talking to our controllers.

ONLINE BOOKING

We offer the first ever, live booking service which is available from our website.  This enables extreme efficiency as customers can book a taxi from anywhere and unlike most other companies there is no booking by e-mail.  The system enables a customer to book in conjunction with the live system on our control screens; this means there is an immediate response.  The customer benefits in various ways, this includes keeping track of whether the vehicle has been dispatched or if the customer is on board. 

Furthermore, the system keeps an up to date history of each individual customers bookings thus a customer can check online at any time, how many bookings they have made and the cost of these.  This information is hugely beneficial as it can then be exported into an excel file and used for a client’s personal financial means.

TELEPHONE BOOKINGS

We take telephone bookings and are able to provide quotes instantly.  Our call centre is manned by a minimum of five members of staff at any given time.  These controllers’s are selected for their efficiency, communication skills and their ability to work under pressure.

GPS

Compared with traditional taxi services, our service employs the global positioning system which provides a higher level of service and safety in transporting clients.  The GPS is primarily a navigation system, whereby the vehicle is continuously tracked from the positions of the GPS receiver. Therefore, it helps our call centre staff to find the nearest taxi to a service call and establish whether it is free. The call centre staff will be in a position to direct and guide the taxi to a specified location through the shortest traffic free route. They will also be able to monitor the vehicle speed and direct the driver accordingly.  This provides a more efficient customer-friendly network while it also reduces carbon emissions.



IVR

IVR is short for ‘Integrated Voice Recognition’.  This is a system whereby, a customer calls the call centre and is addressed by a brief message asking whether the customer wishes to book a taxi immediately.  If so then the customer is asked to press a certain key and the taxi is automatically and instantly booked.  A very beneficial aspect of this system is that where a customer has registered with this system, then the address that is registered at the outset as a pick-up is where the taxi will arrive and the customer merely needs to press a key on the phone without stating anything.  Thus a customer can book a taxi without disturbing anyone around him!!
